Winner, Architecture & Design category (Professional Competition) — Sony World Photography Awards
Won 1st place in the Architecture & Design category (Professional Competition) at the Sony World Photography Awards — one of the world’s most prestigious photography contests.
By the immense grace of GOD, I have achieved this honor. My photo story “Homes of Haor” has been selected as the winner among approximately 430,000 submissions from around the world in this internationally renowned and globally celebrated competition.
The award was officially announced on 16th April in London. Although I was invited as a guest to attend the ceremony, unfortunately, I couldn’t make it due to some unforeseen circumstances.
As part of this recognition, Sony has awarded me an Alpha 7 V camera, a 24–70mm f/2.8 GM II lens, along with several other prizes. Additionally, my work was exhibited at Somerset House in London from April 17 to May 4.
Huge thanks to Creo, World Photography Organisation and Sony Corporation, along with Jury Chair and Exhibition Curator Monica Allende, for this unforgettable milestone.
This achievement is not mine alone — it belongs to my stories, my people, my land, my Bangladesh. Grateful to the Almighty. My deepest respect and love to everyone who has supported me throughout this journey.
